More work on T3 tonight

Well the 2 inch muffler clamps came in and with any luck I am going to get the cross brace assembled tonight. I am also planning on doing a general cleanup of T3 his wires are a bit loose and I am going to secure everything down. I am also thinking on adding an additional heat sink to T3's controller so that if I have to run him on carpet I can do so without risking my controller.

New Blog

This Blog is to document the build process of T3-M4. T3-M4 is a droid from the video game Knights of the Old Republic an Knights of the Old Republic II The Sith Lords. I began building T3 based on the CAD drawings published by Mark Mullen on the T3 builders yahoo group. I will try over the next few day (or weeks). To detail the creation process and catch up to the point I am now.

Holoprojector (catch up post 7)

Holoprojector is made from a piece of six inch pvc. A heat gun was used on the top to flex the surface area in to meet the small tube underneath
(4 inch) We then used bondo glass to fill in the bumps in the surface.

First test run no head (catch up post 6)

Feet are attached. and the computer program and basic xbox control program is built. This version of program attempted to use the Xbox crosshair controls for basic steering. It was not multi threaded so if you played a sound it would lock out the motor controls till the sound was done playing (fixed in later revisions).

Basic front legs cut and attached using bolts through the body. (This attachment method was found out to be faulty after weight was applied to the unit).

Added top panel.
